Istituto Europeo: Students at Istituto Europeo Visit Chianti Winery

Students at Istituto Europeo visited the San Vito winery in Montelupo Fiorentino on Saturday for a charming wine tasting tour. The trip included a tour of the San Vito vineyard and wine cellar and an brief introduction to agronomical techniques and the winemaking process. A sampling of San Vito's organically cultivated DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) and DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) wines was paired a with a savory authentic Tuscan lunch. The meal was concluded with San Vito's Vin Santo wine served with biscotti.
