LOS FRUTOS DEL ESTUDIO DE LA GUITARRA

Doce años ininterrumpidos, formando musicalmente en la guitarra, instrumento español por excelencia, han sido verdaderamente fantásticos! En las aulas del colegio Unamuno de Pizarrales, la Asociación vecinal MUNIBAR, abrió al público, esta bonita actividad para formar a chicos, jóvenes y adultos, que en verdad, han dado muchas satisfacciones y que a través de los años han demostrado su buen quehacer musical. Como aspecto novedoso, desde el pasado año 2015, las aulas han recibido a los chicos con sus madres para el aprendizaje del instrumento, lo que les ha permitido interactuar en clase y en conciertos, estar al tanto de todas las técnicas de aprendizaje y ayudarse mutuamente tanto en el aula de clase, como en sus respectivos hogares; creando así, un ambiente sano de camaradería en las tardes de los viernes salmantinos.

El pasado viernes 15 de abril, el Auditorio Iglesia Vieja de Pizarrales acogió al Grupo de Guitarras MUNIBAR, para grabar un C.D.video, con repertorio recopilatorio de varios cursos de trabajo practico con la guitarra. En esta grabación, se interpretaron piezas musicales a dos y tres guitarras, del repertorio clásico, moderno, popular y de la música tradicional salmantina. El trabajo discográfico "Guitarras cantoras", se realizo en el marco de los 40 años que la Asociación MUNIBAR de Salamanca, está cumpliendo en este año 2016.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
Una de las obras ofrecidas en el video, es la hermosa canción "Tu me enseñaste a volar" la cual fue dedicada a nuestros maestros por ser ellos, quienes forman parte vital de nuestra formación desde la infancia y a los que debemos especial afecto y admiración por su labor; se ha querido hacer un homenaje a la maestra colombiana Olga Muñoz de Peña, quien laboro, formando a tantos chicos, con dedicación y entrega, durante 50 años de magisterio. En la actualidad, esta entrañable amiga y maestra recuerda aun con alegría a sus alumnos y su vida de "magisterio".

Para finalizar el Curso escolar, se ofrecerá un Concierto en la Iglesia Vieja de Pizarrales con algunas nuevas piezas musicales, que están en curso de preparación. Enviaremos invitación oportunamente para nuestro Concierto de final de Curso.

Italy Tuscany Culture Summer Tour 2016

Period: From 1th April 2016 to 30th October 2016.
Duration: 12days (11nights)
Purpose: Allow students to experience the world-famous cultural monuments province of Tuscany, a long historical background, living next to a 2000 years old town of San Gimignano near Florence, visiting wineries, wine rural experience, manufacturing olive oil and Italian cooking lesson, visit the world-famous ancient towns: Pisa, Florence, Siena and Lucca.

Istituto Europeo: Interview with a mysterious Ukrainian singer in Florence

Walking around in the central part of Florence after 1 pm, you will find Anatoliy and Natalia playing and singing in the streets filling the Florentine air with the sweet sounds of high-class music in different languages.

Natalia and Anatoliy came to Florence from Ukraine. However, their first experience of street singing was in Germany 15 years ago. After staying there for some time, they went back to their country. Seeing that their are not having any success there- street singing is not really welcomed- they decided to try that somewhere else. Not being a fan of huge cities and busy streets, the band decided to move to Florence, which, in their words, is a small, cozy and welcoming city with 370.000 inhabitants- all living as a joint family.

“We got to know each other at the university in Kiev, Ukraine when we were on the last grade. After graduation we started dating and we were both keen on entering the conservatoire but, it was both difficult and expensive and, to be honest, we didn’t have much money,” said Natalia Lopushanska, the singer.

She told that everything started from Anatoliy hearing that people are going abroad, working and earning money there. He decided to give it a try: three months here, three months there. And then he came back and offered Natalia to go with him.

“At first it seemed to be a humiliation to me, I couldn’t imagine myself singing in the streets and living a life like that. He had experience already, but me not. First time in Europe, everything’s new: euro instead of grivno. But then when we started doing that, I could see that people really respect and love you for what you are doing,” said Natalia.

Their main job is singing and playing-they have 2 CDs- but except it they are also working at a restaurant. Natalia is working as a waitress and Anatoliy is, from time to time, playing his accordion there.

“In restaurant you are tied up but we like freedom. I have a mezzo-soprano voice. I can sing Pavarotti - O sole mio, Caruso, Besame mucho, Summertime, etc. Normally I sing in English, Italian, German, French, Ukrainian and Russian. And people are the ones to create our repertoire. Based on their interests and demands and wants, we are searching for songs, copying, learning the music, words and start performing,” said Natalia.

In the beginning it was really hard for her to remember the words especially of Italian songs, but for instance about French songs- she doesn’t speak french, she is just memorizing the words.

“When I sing in English, French people are coming and starting talking to me in English, in French thinking that I speak all of them, but then I have to say sorry but I don’t speak English. The same with the other languages. The thing is that French, Russian, Italian songs I can perform perfectly.” Natalia mentioned.

As for her Italian, it’s conversational- between A2 and B1. When they first came to Italy, they took language courses to be able to communicate and to get to know the accent to sing with.

“People are inviting us to wedding parties: it’s an event normally once in a lifetime and we feel so proud of ourselves when they trust this responsible part to us,” said Natalia.

Natalia and Anatoliy couldn’t forget the story that made them realize that life is not easy in Florence as well, you cannot trust everyone. Before leaving Florence their friends introduced them to a person who then offered them to work for him and give some concerts for New year in Rosetta city in Italy.

“We trusted him because our friends recommended to. So we went there with him, gave 3-4 concerts. But then, in that winter cold he left us somewhere in the street without anything.

We could call police, but we didn’t. His plan worked very well: he earned much money out of the concerts, and just took advantage of the fact that we are without documents, we have nothing here, no one to help us,” said Anatoliy.

Natalia added that it was a good lesson for them. After that she couldn’t sing for a week- she got cold, she had sore-throat.

Anatoliy and Natalia have told that they can’t do that job in every city.

“Of course there are so many Russians in San Marino, we could sing there in Russian but the rules are different there - we can’t play in the street. Here we are a member of a special association where we are all registered, approximately 30 people: musicians, mems. We gather from time to time, talk about our plans, events organized. You can sing without permission but then you might have problems with the police. You need to take permission from comune monthly or annually for 30 euros for each,” summed up Natalia.

SUMMER 2013 FOUR WEEK INTENSIVE IN FILM PRODUCTION (FWIFP) IN FLORENCE, ITALY

"I chose the FWIFP in Florence because it promised to be a hands-on course, in Florence (Italy) the best place in the world to get an inspiration and to increase you creative abilities.

The idea of the course is to create your own short film going through all the stages - idea, script, storyboard, casting, location scouting, planning, scheduling, shooting, finding the music, draft editing, dubbing and final editing.
During the course I was able to get all the help I needed from my mentor. 

I completed the film, that was my own work and for me it is first step to developing confidence in my creative abilities"

The 73rd Maggio Musicale Fiorentino commenced April 29th and will run until July 22nd. The theme of this year's multiethnic edition Verso Oriente (Towards the East).

The Maggio Musicale Fiorentino is a world renowned classical music and dance festival held every year in Florence. Events ranging from opera, to symphony, and ballet are performed by some of the top musicians and dancers. Long time director of the Maggio Musicale, Zubin Mehta, is an accomplished conductor and has provided some of the most successful performances around of classical operas and symphonies.

In today's competitive global work environment, it is increasingly important to demonstrate international work experience. Interning abroad not only gives individuals international work experience but also provides a highly marketable resume experience.

Istituto Europeo's internship program is dedicated to providing an enriching and enlightening experience as interns achieve international work experience in Florence.

Internships are offered year round and begin on specific dates every month. Applications are due 60 days prior to the start date of the internship.

All placements are tailored to meet the individual's needs, meaning that the internship is based on the length of stay, career field, and the applicant's academic and experiential background. Istituto Europeo: Background Information About Istituto Europeo

Istituto Europeo was founded in 1988 and is located in the heart of Florence on Via del Parione. Since its inception, Istituto Europeo has specialised in teaching Italian language, art, music, and culture to students from all over the world. The institute offers semester/academic year and summer courses in Italian Language, History, Art, Architecture, Literature, Film, and Music, as well as a variety of internship opportunities with Florentine businesses and organizations.

We are accredited through Jacksonville University and our courses are widely accepted by many U.S. colleges and universities.
