The Florence Newspaper: Graduating Fashion Design Students Show Off Collections at Polimoda Fashion Show

Graduating Fashion Design students at Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design and Marketing show off their innovative and creative collections

The Polimoda Fashion Show took place June 9th at the Teatro Saschall on Via Fabrizio De Andrè in Florence. The show is an annual event that show-cases the creativity and talent of the graduating Fashion Design students at the Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design & Marketing. Exhibited items ranged from fresh and functional to innovative and daring. The total numbers of collections were over fifty. The work of the students pushed the envelope and challenged the view of contemporary fashion.

Menswear included oxygen masks, folks wear, and even six inch heels. Of course the women’s wear did not disappoint; each collection had its own unique style and theme, which reflected well on the designers. Many of the designs had pieces with exaggerated sleeves and shoulder pads. Skirts were short and were paired with bright colors and unique patterns. Other pieces were very aesthetically pleasing yet very functional. This was an amazing show that offered something for everyone. There were lines for people who love to be pretty and polished or edgy and wild. The Polimoda Fashion Show was an event that was unforgettable! The graduating students at Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design and Marketing have a bright future ahead of them.
